His images have been widely published in magazines and newspapers, including <em>Rolling Stone<\/em>, <em>Vanity Fair<\/em>, <em>Newsweek<\/em>, <em>The Atlantic<\/em>, <em>Forbes<\/em>, <em>Architectural Digest<\/em> and the <em>New York Times<\/em>. His work has also appeared in many books.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Proxima-nova, lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; letter-spacing: -0.1px; font-weight: 300; color: #33333; line-height: 1.6em; margin-bottom: 24px;\">Scott is perhaps best known for his images of Burning Man. His book <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottlondon.com\/photography\/artonfire\/\"><em>Burning Man: Art on Fire<\/em><\/a>, a collaboration with writer Jennifer Raiser, has been in print for over a decade. In June 2024, a newly revised and expanded edition was awarded two\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottlondon.com\/photography\/artonfire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Indie Book Award<\/a> gold medals, including &#8220;Best Coffee Table Book of the Year.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Proxima-nova, lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; letter-spacing: -0.1px; font-weight: 300; color: #33333; line-height: 1.6em; margin-bottom: 24px;\">He has exhibited his work internationally in galleries and museums, including the Smithsonian Institution&#8217;s landmark <a href=\"https:\/\/americanart.si.edu\/exhibitions\/burning-man\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">No Spectators<\/a> exhibition at the Renwick Gallery, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/louisiana.dk\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Living<\/a> exhibition at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-family: Proxima-nova, lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; letter-spacing: -0.1px; font-weight: 300; color: #33333; line-height: 1.6em; margin-bottom: 24px;\">Scott&#8217;s career got its start in public broadcasting. His radio interviews and documentaries have been heard on NPR stations across the United States. At the age of five, his family moved to Stockholm, Sweden, where he was raised and educated \u2014 and where, as a teenager, he taught himself photography and built his first darkroom. He returned to the U.S. in his early 20s and eventually landed on the West Coast.
